Easy and Simple (E&S) M27 IAR .
Initial Assessment: M27 Looks great. Quality wise, it is on par if not slightly, lower than Soldier Story weapons.

Packaging
The E&S packaging looks quite professional and one would immediately expect a quality product within and does not disappoint for most parts. Items are all well protected with foam. There are 2 layers, the first contains the rifle and all rail accessories, while the lower layer houses the weapon rack. The front card with the company logo has instructions on how to set up the rack.
I would be comparing the m27 with a long barrel Soldier Story Hk416 or at least what I think is an SS hk416.

The rifle at the top is the E&S M27.
While paint application is good, what is immediately noticeable is a difference in paint hue. The rail is painted in a darker more subdued grey / gun metal, I am not too picky about it, works for me. But I feel a lighter more distinct gun metal brings out the contrast between the matt black of the gun and the rail. (Just personal preference). After looking at 1:1 photos, their colour scheme looks like a perfect match, so nothing wrong here.
Lets look at the accessories first, because it’s a little easier to talk about them.
They have included
3 STANADs
2 E-mags
1 Squad Day Optic
1 Bipod
1 fore grip with extending bipod
2 rail covers
1 set iron sights
The mags,

STANAG ? Looks fine, nothing to rave about.
E-Mags,
on the other hand LOOK AWESOME

I was looking at the bullets and noticed how they are all very distinct and very well cast, sharp and defined, and looked like there were actually real bullets in the magazine. Easy and Simple didn’t take the easy (lol) way out and cast the entire magazine as a single piece. Check this out –

I found that you can actually remove the entire strip of bullets from the magazine, the see through window is clear and no left over paint tainting it. Also you can see the number of the number of bullets left in the magazine, 25, 15 and 10, I think. Very detailed in deed.
You might experience some trouble with getting the magazines to work with the rifle, its quite a tight squeeze. Good news is they magazines work with other rifles, I tried it on an SS weapon, worked fine. Will test it out on DAM rifles.
Rifle Scope,
What I assume to be a squad day optic ?

Lens covers can open and close nicely, the front grill? can be removed as well,
The scope lens, both back and front reflects light a little indicating they used some sort of shiny plastic / reflective material there. You can see this from the 3rd rifle scope picture. Gives a very realistic feel to it, instead of just making the entire scope out of matt plastic (E.G ACE acogs)
However the mini red dot sight atop the scope is just a piece of hollow plastic. Looks a little cheap to me, but if there was some transparent plastic filling it in ,it would be icing on the cake. There is stencilling on the scope, too fine for me to read, but they are there.
On to the rifle,

The printing on the gun is good, fine and crisp, you can see all the lettering, the Hk, the m27. All the fine print which you would need a magnifying glass to fully appreciate.
Well, after I saw in hand pictures on OSW, the first thing I noticed was the charging handle fully extended. And my first thought was, “IS THERE NO SPRING? “ Normally there is a spring in the buffer tube that will push the charging handle forward when you pull it back, giving it that satisfying “PIAK” sound.
The Easy and Simple Rep informed me that there is actually a spring in the buffer tube, but the paint application in the buffer tube is too thick, so the spring can’t do its job.
So I decided to see what was wrong.
Took the rifle apart:

And yes indeed there is a spring! So what is going on?? Why isn’t the spring, springing?
Normally when the charging handle doesn’t work, my immediate assumption is that the bolt/ charging handle group is stuck in the upper receiver due to friction. But this isn’t the case, the bolt group moves very smoothly in and out.
So I turned my attention to the buffer tube.

It turns out the bolt assembly (circled in red at the top) CANNOT or rather IT IS VERY HARD for the assembly to fit into the buffer tube. And once it’s in there, it is even harder to force out. My go to, undefeated hero, Silicon Lube did NOT remedy the situation.
This may be due to one of 2 things,
1. The paint application in the tube and on the bolt is too THICK, causing too much friction.
2. Buffer tube is too small.
Which brings me to a related point, the rail system is ALSO TOO TIGHT FOR THE ACCESSORIES.
WAYY TOO TIGHT.
It might be due to the paint application but I had a very hard time fitting the scope onto the top rail. Interestingly it was a tad easier on the grey hand guard rail, but not so on the black top rail on the upper receiver. I nearly drowned my scope in lube trying to force it on to the rail.
This issue needs to be looked into ASAP. When the accessories get hard to fit onto the rail, collectors start to get frustrated and tend to use force. When this happens, there is a higher probability of profanities and accidental product breakage.
Can the E&S be used with other brand accessories ? YES
I will let the pictures do the talking :

Conclusion:
It’s a great product, being the company’s first product, there are a number of issues that can and MUST be improved upon. I have singled out the 2 urgent ones:
1. Tight rail system and
2. Tight charging handle.
At the price collectors are paying, even though we don’t play with the charging handle every single day, it would be good to know it works. Helps me sleep better at night … at least for me.
I didn’t take any photos of the weapons rack, but it is solid. Quality is good, hooks and hangers slide on easily into position and the main rack is well built, hardly any flex to it at all.
As i said earlier, it’s a good release, betrayed by a few flaws. This release is good for collectors who are in need of a long barrel HK416 and are not too concerned with accuracy issues to pass this rifle off as one! Because if I am not wrong, the M27 is basically a HK416 with a few modifications like the barrel length, ETC . The price isn’t THAT expensive and they are going to be relativity easy to procure. E&S even put the bayonet lug on the barrel, but i have not tested to see if this works.
Rail covers and iron sights are included as well, but not photographed.
The company holds great potential and I hope they continue producing weapon sets.
Edit: After much forceful persuasion, I got the scope on…
