Well this isn't exactly a new subject or one that hasn't been touched on before here but Vietnam is my weakness. These seals have been a work in progress of mine for about 4 years now. I had started working on buying up some old Toy Soldier Dragon, and HT items to just make 2 seals of my own. THEN Ace Workshop started releasing some of the best stuff I had seen. Not every figure is a complete kitbash. And some weren't released as SEALS. So over time I've been telling my self "just one more" as they become released and I get new ideas with each release. That brings us to the here and now. I think I am finally done. Barring another Seal release with an m60 or a china lake launcher, I don't need anymore than 6 men hehe.
I Converted their "Project Delta" figure with some coral reef shoes, a TS medical bag full of albumin and other goodies, and a 1911 in a shoulder holster around his neck and chest. I updated "cowboy" as I didn't like the color of his gear or the tigers he had on. He has a uniform from bulldozer and gear from newer releases that matches his other team members. Kimber became my pointman, with a TUS duckbill shotgun and a custom made holster for his S&W hush puppy based off of reference pictures. I took one of the new ERDL uniforms, the first operation delaware figure and kimbers gear to create my RTO. I have wrapped the hand set in plastic and did a little mod to the antenna to keep it more low profile. The new Dewey Canyon figure has also been pressed into service with my seal team. I know hes technically a marine but I liked the figure and hes kitted out pretty close to a seal, which worked for me. He has no modifications. Lastly, the only non ACE figure was my Stoner lmg gunner. Hes a Dragon body, with ACE gear and some jeans from an m65 field jacket set. The holster is from TUS for his revolver, I thought it worked out pretty well with a wire hanger added and a DML 38 revolver put in it. I used canteen covers to house his extra stoner magazines.
These figures aren't meant to be 100% realistic interpretations of seals... they're supposed to be close, but I've taken creative liberties and stretched the rules here to make them cool to me, because they are my seals after all Let me know what you guys think, any questions, comments, or critiques welcome.
