WWII U-Boat Captain

Happy New Year to all!

I am pleased to present my very first piece of work in 2017.
This is my second U-boat captain I've done. As usual it is simple (I don't like to add too much) but effective IMHO.

The captain visor cap is always a trouble for me, you know what I mean, DML plastic cap. So I had to make it myself. The most difficult part is to find a suitable cloth, cut it in pattern and saw it, in particular, add wire and piping.

The head sculpt is from Did's and I added hair and beard, and repainted the whole. The body was modified.

The coat is quite a challenge to tame it as it is a thick synthetic material. I sandpapered it gently and weathered it afterwards.
